Possible New Details for Disney+’s Loki Connect Series with Thor: Love and Thunder

[THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS POTENTIAL SPOILERS FOR DISNEY+'S LOKI]

Though we are getting a new Thor film in 2021, we're also going to get a miniseries starring the God of Mischief with Disney+'s Loki. We don't have any official details on the show yet, but new word has come out with that the series will connect with the fourth Thor film.

According to Fandomwire, the show will consist of 2012 Loki—the one who escapes from Avengers: Endgame—hopping through time with the Tesseract to change events in human history. Though the story will take place in the alternate timeline, it's said that the series will end with this Loki moving to the main MCU timeline, setting up Thor: Love and Thunder.

We don't really know how this set-up will work, but some guess that it's Loki who will be providing Jane Foster with an intact Mjolnir. The hammer was actually destroyed by Hela in Thor: Ragnarok, so the only way Jane can get a new one is if she's brought a Mjolnir from another reality.

Take in mind that the Loki in the series will be the very same one who just tried to enslave humanity. The main timeline's Loki who has gone through a character change over the course of 10 years had officially died in Avengers: Infinity War, choked out by Thanos.

It would be interesting to see how this Loki at the height of his mischief changes throughout the series and ends up coming back to the main timeline.

Of course, this is just a rumor for now. Hopefully we get some official details come the D23 Expo later this month.

Loki is set to come to Disney+ in the spring of 2021. Thor: Love and Thunder comes out Nov. 5 of the same year.
