Possible Details on the Connection Between Sony’s Spider-Verse and the MCU

While the connection of Venom to the larger MCU is left ambiguous, it looks like Sony is ready to make the Spider-Man connection when it comes to this year's Morbius. With Sony and Disney striking a new deal when it comes to sharing characters, we may have some more specific details on how Sony's SUMC will be related to the MCU.

According to DR Movie News, the Spider-Man franchise will be the main link between the MCU and SUMC. Here's the post:

Though the divide between both franchises is now clear, I'm hoping that Sony and Marvel Studios decide to cooperate further down the line. We wouldn't want any nasty continuity errors moving forward. Just imagine the mess it would be once we have characters like the X-Men and Fantastic Four coming in. Besides, Venom really needed to brush up its story if it really wanted to be on the same level as the MCU films. Seeing as it turned out a critical bomb, I'm not wondering why Disney asked for Tom Holland's Peter Parker cameo removed from Venom.

Of course, we should just take this info with a grain of salt. It would be better if Sony or Marvel themselves makes the official announcement on how both franchises will be connected moving forward.

For now, Sony is set to release Morbius this coming July 31. The third Spider-Man movie starring Holland is set to come out July 16, 2021.
