New Spider-Man: Far from Home Set Video Shows Peter and MJ Become a Lot Closer

Believe it or not, it's been more than ten years since we've seen a Spider-Man/MJ tandem happen onscreen, and it looks like Spider-Man: Far from Home will be showcasing that romance once more. A new set video featuring Tom Holland and Zendaya have Spidey and MJ acting a lot more familiar with each other.

Seeing that a lot of the movie is supposed to happen abroad, I'm guessing that this exchange happens somewhere in the end with Peter having a whole new suit and the two being back in Manhattan. Though I would love to see the two characters come together, it looks like the franchise may be taking its time building the romance. For now, the two look like they've become good friends—why else would Peter just whisk her away all of a sudden?

Though MJ is considered to be an ‘iconic' love interest for Peter Parker, she admittedly has been a flat character when it comes to the films. If anything, she just exists to raise the stakes for Peter when it comes to clashing with the villain. What I like about Michelle, though, is that she's very quirky, and she doesn't seem like the typical love interest that we've always gotten in these Spider-Man films. Hopefully she ends up being a lot more memorable than the other love interests that Peter Parker has gotten over the years.
