Official Title for Cassian Andor Series Revealed?

Though The Mandalorian may be the big Star Wars property on Disney+, fans also have their eyes set on other Star Wars series like the one for Obi-Wan and Rogue One's Cassian Andor. What's interesting is, we may have the official title of the series revealed.

According to Bespin Bulletin, the Film & Television Industry Alliance has listed that Star Wars: Andor is set to start shooting in Pinewood Studios next month. Besides that, the series is also expected to shoot in LA, but it will have to wait its turn as The Mandalorian Season 3 and the Kenobi series are also going to be using the same location.

Take note that Star Wars: Andor could just be a place-holder for now, and it's possible that the series could still change its title. With The Mandalorian not having Star Wars in the title, it's possible Lucasfilm will want to be consistent with the rest of their mini-series.

Apparently, pre-production had already started for Andor when COVID-19 struck and they had just restarted work back in July. Now things look to be going smoothly as the series is said to start production on November 4. Hopefully, there won't be any more hijinks moving forward, unlike what happened with the production of The Batman which was halted after Robert Pattinson contracted the virus.

While The Mandalorian is focused on the underground world, I'm interested to watch Andor delve into the grunts of the Rebellion. I mean, Jedi are fine, but there's just something a lot cooler about the pilots and foot soldiers who are fighting these Star Wars.

The Cassian Andor series is expected to come out sometime in 2021. The Mandalorian Season 2 debuts on Disney+ on Oct. 30.
