Official Jay & Silent Bob Reboot Poster Calls Back to Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

Kevin Smith is aiming to make a comeback to movies with the Jay & Silent Bob Reboot, and the film is set to come out next month. Just in, he's shared a new handmade poster for the movie that pretty much harkens to another recent release, Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

Check it out:

Just like every other Kevin Smith movie, Jay & Silent Bob Reboot is going to be chockfull of references and cameos. The poster features the rebooted versions of Bluntman and Chronic, and we also have an obvious homage to the first Iron Man suit that Tony Stark built in a cave ("with a bunch of scraps!"). You'll also notice that Jason Lee's character is wearing a shirt with Stan Lee's face on it.

Besides the outside references, there are also the nods to Smith's other films. The Quick Stop is from Smith's first hit Clerks, and the Mooby's fast-food uniform was introduced in Clerks 2. You also have Smith's daughter Harley Quinn Smith in the poster, and as he mentions in the caption, she was also in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (she played a member of the Manson Family).

I, for one, love Kevin Smith's work, and I'm eager to see him come back to movies. I'll admit, horror isn't really my forte, but with Smith making funny films again, I'm all on board.

The stoner icons who first hit the screen 25 years ago in CLERKS are back! When Jay and Silent Bob discover that Hollywood is rebooting an old movie based on them, the clueless duo embark on another cross-country mission to stop it all over again!

Catch Jay & Silent Bob Reboot in theaters Oct. 15.
