New Trailer for Animated Harley Quinn Series Contains A Lot of Cursing, Violence, and More

Deadpool is pretty much the face of raunchy humor and violence for Marvel, and it looks like DC is looking to make their mascot Harley Quinn. Thanks to the San Diego Comic-Con, we have a new full trailer for the upcoming Harley Quinn series, and it looks bonkers.

Besides Kaley Cuoco (The Big Bang Theory) voicing Harley, the show also has voices from the likes of Lake Bell, Jim Rash, Diedrich Bader, Wanda Skykes, J.B. Smoove, and Tony Hale. You may also recognize the Joker's voice as he's being voiced by none other than Alan Tudyk.

With Harley taking center stage for Birds of Prey, it's a great time for DC to release Harley Quinn as a way to help cross-promote the two properties. It may be a while before we get our first official teaser for BoP, but it's great that we have a show to keep us satisfied before February 2020 comes.

This is also just a personal observation about the trailer, but it's interesting that they should use Joan Jett's cover of Love is All Around for the opening. In case you didn't know, that same song was also the intro for the Mary Tyler Moore show, and it could be a possible hint at the tone of the series. Then again, maybe it's just a neat homage to another TV show.

No specific release date has been set for Harley Quinn, but the show is said to be debuting on DC Universe sometime this fall.
