New Still of Batwoman in Elseworlds Crossover

Though the Flash, Green Arrow, and Supergirl may be taking the spotlight of this December's Elseworlds event, we're also set to get the debut of Ruby Rose as The CW's new Batwoman. Thanks to EW, we have a new still of Rose in costume, plus we get a few comments from her about suiting up as the Arrowverse's newest hero.

Talking to EW, Rose says:

"The fact that [Batwoman] is an outwardly gay superhero, which is something growing up I would've loved to have seen on my TV, was a big deciding factor as to why I was so passionate about the role… This [role] just meant a lot more to me because I could relate in so many ways and, at the same time, felt like this was a job that would give me a purpose every day coming into work beyond just getting to live my dream, which is acting, and would be far more rewarding than anything I've done in the past."

As it turns out, we'll be meeting Batwoman as the heroes journey to Gotham City, and the scene in the photo is actually taking place in Arkham Asylum. As it turns out, Ollie, Barry, and Kara have to get to the Asylum to track down Dr. John Deegan (Jeremy Davies), and Batwoman will be there to give them a hand.

So far, we only know very few about how Elseworlds will turn everyone's realities upside down, but I think it's best that The CW is keeping a few surprises up its sleeve. We know that Ollie and Barry end up switching roles, but what do these new worlds mean for Kara?

Elseworlds takes place for three nights and debuts Dec. 9 ending on Dec. 11.
