New Look at Netflix's Dark Crystal Series

Netflix had released their first trailer for The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance May of last year, but so far we haven't been getting any significant updates on the show. Now the streaming service has released some new stills and has announced some new cast members as well.

Check them out:

By the looks of it, these characters are the three protagonists, and they will be voiced by Taron Egerton (Kingsman), Anya Taylor Joy (Split), and Nathalie Emmanuel (Game of Thrones). The series also has a star-studded cast and will have appearances from actors like Mark Hamill, Helena Bonham Carter, Eddie Izzard, and so much more.

Though Jim Henson is best known for his work on The Muppets and Sesame Street, his work on the original Dark Crystal is considered to be some of his best. The series promises to use the same puppetry employed in the first film, and add to that some modern movie magic, and we may have another cult classic in our hands.

This is the synopsis for the show:

"The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance" returns to the world of Thra, where three Gelfling discover the horrifying secret behind the Skeksis' power and set out to ignite the fires of rebellion and save their world.

No release date has been set for Netflix's The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.
