New Cinematic Promo for The Last of Us Part II is Dark and Action-Packed

While the game has gone through multiple delays, Naughty Dog's The Last of Us Part II is finally coming out on June 19. Promos for the game have been coming out left and right, and now we have an extended cinematic trailer.

I have to say, this short cinematic promo manages to give us a good look at what to expect from the game, giving us different settings as well as a variety of enemies from the humans to the infected. Of course, let's also not forget the driving force behind the story which is Ellie's romance with Dina—who fans are more sure than ever is definitely going to die.

Missing from the trailer is the first game's protagonist Joel, who is still expected to be a major player for the sequel. While Naughty Dog has been mysterious when it comes to the fate of Joel, I think it's going to be revealed that he's been alive all along, and the story is how he managed to be estranged from Ellie years after the events of the first game.

Admittedly, the game has managed to snag a bit of trouble when someone had leaked the entire story online. Though people have been posting leaks all around, ND has been careful, even going so far as to block comments from trailers of Part II. Though the internet may be a landmine, we don't have to wait too long till we can finally find out the story of this long-awaited sequel.

The Last of Us Part II launches on June 19.
