Matt Reeves Eyeing Mission Impossible’s Vanessa Kirby for Catwoman

With Matt Reeves' The Batman said to be involving multiple villains, it's said that one of them will be expert burglar Catwoman. The search is still on for who would be the next Selina Kyle, but rumor has it that Reeves' already has someone in mind to play her.

According to Geeks World Wide, Vanessa Kirby (Mission Impossible: Fallout) is being eyed for the role of Catwoman. No formal talks have happened yet, but surely we'll see the list go on as pre-production goes further.

In MI: Fallout, Kirby played the role of The White Widow, and I have to say, she was probably one of my favorite parts about the film. I just think she can give off this ‘dangerous' vibe, even when she isn't really doing anything—perfect for someone like Selina Kyle.

Then again, I would expect Catwoman's role to be physical as well, and I think Kirby could be kind of lanky for the part. Some other fan favorites for the role are Ana de Armas (BladeRunner 2049) plus Priyanka Chopra (Baywatch).

With Catwoman's history with Batman in the comics, they should probably get an actress who has great chemistry with Robert Pattinson. I don't really have anyone in mind for the part, but I can imagine people going crazy if they ever cast Kristen Stewart for the part.

Matt Reeves' The Batman is now in pre-production, and is aiming for a release June 25, 2021.
