Marvel’s Eternals Gives New Look at Salma Hayek’s Ajak

Marvel's Eternals was supposed to come out this November, but with COVID-19 effectively pushing the entire MCU back, we're going to have to wait for the movie to come out in February of next year. We don't know when Marvel plans to release any official promos for the movie, but Marvel Legends has given us a look at Salma Hayek's Ajak thanks to some box art and the figure itself.

Check it out:

The box also gives us an official description for Ajak reading:

The spiritual leader of the Eternals, Ajak can heal others and is able to communicate with Celestials.

In the comics, Ajak is said to be vital to the long life of the Eternals and is also able to communicate with Celestials. Ajak was also originally a man in the comics, so it's going to be interesting to see how Hayek's version is going to set itself apart. It's also worth noting that Ajak has also become a villain at some points in the comic, and I can very well imagine Hayek being the main antagonist in a sequel.

We don't really know what role Eternals or Celestials will play in the film, but the movie is said to be giving us an in-depth look at the timeline of the MCU thousands of years before the likes of Steve Rogers or even Thor were going around and punching bad guys. This should be an interesting ‘history lesson' for MCU buffs, and it would give some great new context to the world, now that we've seen so much of it.

Eternals is set to come out on Feb. 12, 2021.
