Marvel Head Kevin Feige Likens Black Widow Movie to Better Call Saul

Kevin Feige has somehow confirmed that the Black Widow movie will be a prequel, but so far we still have no idea of what kind of movie to expect. What's interesting though, is that Feige likens the film to one of the best spinoff shows out there—Better Call Saul.

Talking to io9, Feige explains:

"I look at Better Call Saul as a wonderful example of a prequel that almost completely stands on its own apart from Breaking Bad because it informs you about so many things you didn't know about before. So time will tell which way we've gone with a supposed Black Widow movie."

While I was a big fan of Breaking Bad, I do have to agree with Feige in saying that Better Call Saul kind of stands on its own. At the same time, it kind of enhances a lot of scenes from Breaking Bad, now that we have more context on some characters who aren't Walter White or Jessie Pinkman.

Though I think Widow's arc is already clear cut with the appearances we have of her in the MCU, I'm hoping that they do something more interesting in her prequel film. Maybe the movie can try and be like BCS and give us the story of her successor while at the same time revealing Natasha's journey before we meet her in Iron Man 2.

I just want something nobody can predict online.

No release date has been set for the Black Widow movie, but some speculate that it could release sometime next year.
