Mark Ruffalo Wants the Hulk to be a Mentor to Newer MCU Heroes

We may have lost a good chunk of Avengers in Endgame, but we still have some remaining in the MCU. Mark Ruffalo's Professor Hulk is still alive and breathing, and Ruffalo weighs in on his role in the Marvel Universe moving forward.

Talking to ComicBook, Ruffalo explains that it's likely that we'll see more of his Hulk down the line. Seeing that his character arc is basically completed, he thinks that Hulk will be more of a mentor to the newer generation of heroes. He says,"I'd like to see him hang out with some of the new folks, you know?... Maybe be like a guru to some of the younger ones."

While there hasn't been any official confirmation on where Hulk can show up, a lot are hoping that he'll make some kind of appearance in the upcoming She-Hulk series for Disney+. In the comics, Jennifer Walters receives a blood transfusion from the Hulk, giving her a portion of his abilities. The interesting thing about She-Hulk is, she's completely in control, and prefers to stay in her green form—pretty much like what Professor Hulk has evolved into.

Then again, I would love to see Hulk in some other films. I'm almost sure he's going to be in the next Avengers film, but maybe it would be nice to see him appear out of nowhere like in Ant-Man 3 or Doctor Strange 2.

For now, the next Marvel film coming out is Black Widow, and it hits theaters May 01, 2020.
