We’ve been waiting for months for Disney to give us a teaser for the second season of The Mandalorian, and while we haven’t gotten any hints the past few days, the trailer has been dropped out of nowhere.

The Mandalorian and the Child continue their journey, facing enemies and rallying allies as they make their way through a dangerous galaxy in the tumultuous era after the collapse of the Galactic Empire.

Though there has been news on incoming fan favorites like Ahsoka Tano and Captain Rex, it seems that Lucasfilm doesn’t want to make those reveals with this teaser. While I’m a little disappointed, I like the idea of not pandering too much to nostalgia and focusing on new things. We get a look at the more original concepts the season is going to bring in, like the Mando going on a boat ride and entering an icy cave. I absolutely love how there are Gamorreans fighting in a ring, and we get to see Mando take out a Zabrak.

Either way, I think the more fanservice-y elements of the season will be introduced in a second trailer in October. Now that they have the fan’s attention, more will be tuning in when the next trailer drops, and that’s when they can show us the good stuff like Ahsoka and Boba Fett. Maybe even more of Moff Gideon and his Darksaber.

Catch the second season of The Mandalorian when it comes out on Disney+ this Oct. 30.
