Solo: A Star Wars Story Actress Emilia Clarke Thinks 'It was a Good Movie'

Emilia Clarke had just ended her Daenerys Targaryen career earlier this year, but Star Wars fans will also remember her as Qi'Ra in Solo: A Star Wars Story. While that film infamously underperformed in the box office, Clarke herself thought it was great and felt kind of bummed that the film didn't take off as expected.

Talking to E! News, Clarke talked about how much she loved the film, and how she was kind of surprised that not many people did. Here's the clip:

If anything, Clarke could be wrong about people not liking it too much. After months of sitting down and analyzing what happened, a lot of fans and specialists kind of agree that the poor reception of Solo was all because of Disney poorly marketing the film. The first teaser for the movie came out only four months before release, and Disney wanted all the focus to be on the release of Avengers: Infinity War.

A lot of fans who did see the film thought it was fantastic, and until now there's a strong #MakeSolo2Happen campaign happening online. Hopefully, Disney will be willing to continue Han and Qi'Ra's story in a Disney+ series, but I'm kind of hoping they pivot back to anthology films in the future.

For now, you can catch Clarke in Last Christmas, which is set to come out in Nov. 8. The next big Star Wars property is The Mandalorian which hits Disney+ on Nov. 12.
