Legendary Star Wars Composer John Williams Hospitalized in London

One of the greatest things about Star Wars has always been the music, and we have no one but legendary composer John Williams to thank for that. The bad news is, Williams was recently hospitalized in London prior to a live performance on Friday.

Here's the letter that was sent out to people who were supposed to catch his show:

In his place, Williams had appointed Maestro Dirk Brosse to conduct. This may come out a bummer to people who wanted to see Williams behind the podium himself, but I guess it would be better than having to cancel the show altogether.

Based on the letter, we don't really get an update on Williams' condition at all. Nothing says he is doing well or doing terribly, but it's just said that he's receiving "very good care."

One thing's for sure, a lot of people are hoping that Williams gets well enough soon. With Star Wars Episode IX set to come out next year, it would be fantastic if Williams was able to compose the score to what would end the Skywalker saga for Lucasfilm.

Besides providing music for Star Wars, Williams has given us memorable scores for multiple films. He's given us the themes for Indiana Jones, Superman, and Jaws. Just in case you didn't know, Williams is also the man behind the iconic Harry Potter theme.

Fingers crossed that Williams gets well soon. Hopefully, he'll be well enough to score Episode IX before it comes out Dec. 20, 2019.
