Laura Dern Announces Her Return for Jurassic World 3

News had just dropped that original Jurassic Park stars Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, and Sam Neill would be making a return in the third Jurassic World movie, and a lot of people are excited for the trio to reunite. Now Dern herself has come online to announce her involvement.

Check it:

No specifics details have been released about the roles of the three Jurassic Park vets in the third film, but I imagine it will be more substantial than Jeff Goldblum's parts in the Fallen Kingdom. While there were a lot of complainers for the last film, I actually thought they used Ian Malcolm's role properly, and he kind of served as bookends to the film, really bringing in the theme of a "Jurassic World." I didn't really expect him to be running around with Chris Pratt being chased by dinosaurs.

Going back to Dern though, I think it's interesting that she's coming back to the world of Jurassic Park. She had starred as Admiral Holdo in The Last Jedi, and JW director Colin Trevorrow was originally in line to helm Star Wars Episode IX before he was fired by Lucasfilm; I just think it's a neat coincidence how the two are connected to Star Wars.

We don't have a plot for Jurassic World3 yet, but we have a good idea of how the world has been holding up thanks to Trevorrow's short Battle at Big Rock which you can check out online for free.

Catch Jurassic World 3 in theaters June 11, 2021.
