Korg is Coming Back for Thor: Love and Thunder

After Jojo Rabbit and Next Goal Wins, Taika Waitit will be coming back to the MCU to work on Thor: Love and Thunder. He's confirmed that he's currently working on the script, and we'll see the return of Thor's rocky friend.

Talking to Jimmy Kimmel Live, Waititi explains:

"I just finished a couple of drafts of that story. There's more Thor! There's twice the Thor in Thor 4… Natalie Portman's coming back, she'll be playing a female version of Thor, it's from a comic run. There'll be two of them! My character is coming back, Korg. Thank you. Thank you so much for that reaction, I'm overwhelmed."

Though Waititi's Korg only has a minimal role in the films, they are damn well memorable. So far, everything that comes from Korg's mouth has been quotable from "Piss off, ghost!" in Ragnarok to "That kid on the TV just called me a dickhead again," from Endgame. It would be great to find out what Kord and Miek have been up to ever since the Infinity War ended.

Personally, I would love to see Waititi take on an MCU role where he looks like himself. I don't have any specific roles in mind, but I would love it if he would appear in James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. I mean, he's already going to be in Gunn's The Suicide Squad.

Catch Thor: Love and Thunder when it comes out Nov. 5, 2021. Waititi's Jojo Rabbit hits theaters Oct. 18.
