Knives Out: Chris Evans and Daniel Craig Star in Rian Johnson’s Murder Mystery

As teased yesterday, the trailer for Rian Johnson's Knives Out has finally been released, and it gives us a look at a star-studded cast trying to solve a murder.

When renowned crime novelist Harlan Thrombey (Christopher Plummer) is found dead at his estate just after his 85th birthday, the inquisitive and debonair Detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) is mysteriously enlisted to investigate. From Harlan's dysfunctional family to his devoted staff, Blanc sifts through a web of red herrings and self-serving lies to uncover the truth behind Harlan's untimely death.

Though Johnson is best known for his work with Star Wars: The Last Jedi, this film looks to be in the same vein as his earlier works like Looper and Brick. You can also sense the influence of Murder on the Orient Express from Agatha Christie. Funnily enough, Daisy Ridley, who was the star of TLJ, also starred in the recent remake of Orient Express directed by Kenneth Branagh.

The movie definitely boasts an all-star cast which includes the likes of Daniel Craig, Michael Shannon, Toni Collete, Jamie Lee Curtis, and more. You even have Chris Evans who is playing one of the more irreverent characters in the film; I have to say, I miss Evans playing these bad-boy rebel types. It was like he was stuck playing wholesome characters ever since he was cast as Captain America. With his work there done though, he's now open to play whoever he's playing in Knives Out.

Catch Knives Out when it hits theaters Nov. 27.
