Kevin Smith Apparently Pitched A Plastic Man Movie

Though Kevin Smith may be one of the most recognized faces in geek culture, he has never directed a full on superhero movie. Sure he's worked on series like The Flash and Supergirl, but apparently, he had plans on making an animated Plastic Man movie.

Just got back at Jay and Silent Bob get old at the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo where Kevin Smith broke news he wrote a Plastic Man Animated movie. He doesn't know if it will get made at this point but he did say he met with Geoff Johns about it as well recently.

With Plastic Man's comedic background, I think Smith would have been perfect as director for the film. With WB Animation also embracing R-Rated films like The Killing Joke, Smith's humor would have also been perfect for the character.

As for Plastic Man's backstory, he was a small-time crook named Patrick "Eel" O'Brian who was doused by a vat of acid which left him with powers to stretch and turn into any object he wills.

I know this was pitched as an animated movie, but how fun would it be if it was actually brought into live-action with Jim Carrey as Plastic Man? It would be like the Ant-Man of the DC Universe if you think about it.
