Kevin Feige: The Future of Ant-Man is Set-Up in Avengers Endgame

With Marvel Phase 4, a lot of Avengers are getting their own shows and films from Doctor Strange to Falcon and the Winter Soldier. One Avenger who hasn't been mentioned for a future film is Ant-Man, but apparently the next part of his story had already been set up in Avengers: Endgame.

Talking to The New York Times, Marvel Studios' head Kevin Feige was asked about the future of Ant-Man, and he replied with, "The chess pieces were arranged very purposefully after 'Endgame,… Those that are off the board are off, and those that are still on, you never know."

With Phase 4 already planned out and Phase 5 supposedly bringing in more heroes like the Fantastic Four and X-Men, it's curious where Marvel Studios could squeeze Ant-Man 3 in—what with all the new characters already coming on board.

With Ant-Man being the underdog of the MCU, I'm actually excited to see where they're going to take the character next, and how they're going to make his story more interesting. This is just my wishful thinking, but I hope Marvel was able to catch NandovMovies fantastic pitch for Ant-Man and the Wasp and the Ant-Man:

The third Ant-Man movie has not been officially announced, but hopefully, Marvel gives us an update when they're ready to unveil Phase 5—whenever that is.

The next MCU property hitting theaters is Black Widow, and it comes to cinemas on May 01, 2020.
