The hype train may be gearing up for the release of Aquaman, but next year will see the arrival of Todd Phillips' Joker movie. The film is currently under production, and thanks to Just Jared, we have some photos of Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck visiting a cemetery.

As you can see, Arthur still has none of the Joker make-up here, but the suit looks like it could be the same one that the Joker ends up wearing. It's a good shade of maroon/purple, and I'm thinking this scene is supposed to take place before Arthur goes insane. My guess is that Arthur will not be a man of means in the film, and this suit will be the only ‘fancy' one that he has.
As for who he's visiting in the cemetery, a lot of speculation is going around that it will be his wife. In The Killing Joke, the Joker's wife dies right before he has to do heist at Ace Chemicals. A lot of people guess that Zazie Beetz will be playing Arthur's wife in the film, and it's her death that helps push him into madness.
Of course, that's just a guess on my part. I actually prefer it if the movie manages to subvert all expectations and theories when it comes out. Is it obvious that I was a fan of Rian Johnson's Star Wars: The Last Jedi?
The Joker movie is one of two DC films that will be coming out next year. Catch it in theaters Oct. 4, 2019.
