We already have some trailers for Mission Impossible: Fallout, but none of them have been able to clearly explain who exactly Henry Cavill's character is. This latest, preview however, confirms that he's a CIA agent, and he's out to hunt down a rogue Ethan Hunt.
The best intentions often come back to haunt you. "MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – FALLOUT" finds Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his IMF team (Alec Baldwin, Simon Pegg ,Ving Rhames) along with some familiar allies (Rebecca Ferguson ,Michelle Monaghan) in a race against time after a mission gone wrong. Henry Cavill , Angela Bassett, and Vanessa Kirby also join the dynamic cast with filmmaker Christopher McQuarrie returning to the helm.
Though Cavill has recently been typecast as goody-two-shoes Superman, it's amazing to see how he can fit secret agent roles as well. He was amazing as Napoleon Solo in Guy Ritchie's Man from UNCLE, and he looks absolutely threatening in this latest Mission Impossible preview.
For a franchise that started out in the 90s, Mission Impossible has been trudging along swimmingly for the past couple of years. Tom Cruise is now even older than Jon Voight was in the first movie, and he's still running around doing stunts. Let's hope the rest of the cast can catch up to him.
