While the earlier seasons of Stranger Things have usually taken place during Halloween, the third season is going to give us a look of what it's like in Hawkins during the Summertime. Just in Netflix has released a new clip for the series focusing on last year's villain Billy.
The last season had a scene with Billy meeting Mike's mom, Karen Wheeler, and it looks like the third season is going to delve on that ‘forbidden romance'. While I don't really expect anything to happen between the two, I just think it would be funny to have Mrs. Wheeler react to Billy who definitely knows that the ladies want him. I think it would be also fun to see what the kids think if they ever found out about Mrs. Wheeler's little crush.
With the show managing to turn Steve into one of the most heroic characters, I think there's a chance they could do the same for Billy in the upcoming season. After all, the real villains of the show are the things from the Upside Down. Besides, we know that Billy only acts that way since he's from an abusive family. Maybe Stranger Things 3 can give him a redemption arc, but I'm completely fine if they keep him as a bad guy. Every franchise still needs a Walter White or a Darth Vader.
