It's Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah in SDCC Exclusive Poster for Godzilla: King of Monsters

Legendary had just recently dropped a new trailer for Godzilla: King of Monsters, but it only really have us a teaser of the three-headed dragon King Ghidorah. What's cool is, an SDCC exclusive poster actually gives us a look at the giant kaiju duking it out.

Check it:

The artwork comes from Christopher Shy, and it really gives us a scale on how massive Ghidorah is compared to Godzilla. At least now, I think the movie is being clear that Godzilla is actually going to be an ally to the humans, as compared to the first film where it was teased that Godzilla was the villain, but it was actually the MUTO.

Seeing that this is just an SDCC poster, we should expect something different when it comes to the official one for the film. After all, the movie includes a lot of big actors and their contracts probably require the official poster to have them included; such are the rules of Hollywood.

The new story follows the heroic efforts of the cryptozoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient superspecies, thought to be mere myths, rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity's very existence hanging in the balance.

Catch the massive Kaiju clash when Godzilla: King of Monsters hits theaters May 31, 2019.
