Is Marvel Bringing Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 4 to Comics Instead?

Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy ended back in 2007, but there actually plans for a fourth film before they were scrapped in favor of a reboot. What's interesting is, Marvel Comics has put out this Spider-Man related teaser, and it's possible that they could continue that timeline in the comics.

Check it out:

Of course, nothing has been confirmed, but the only other answer that fans can think of is that Spider-Man is joining the Fantastic Four. If he did, I guess it would be interesting enough, but he's already joined the group before, and I can't really think of anything else that the comics are trying to hype up.

If anything, I think delving into the Raimi-verse is worth exploring. There's an active fanbase online full of memes, and I think it would be a nice build-up to a live-action Spider-Verse should there be one. It would be great to get an update on Tobey Maguire's Peter Parker and how he's been living his life. Maybe they could even introduce the Spider-Verse there and have him crossover with Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man?

For now, all we can really do is wait. What else could we get from a four made out of webbing?

If you're curious about the live-action Peter Parker's adventures though, you can catch Spider-Man: Far from Home in theaters July 2.
