Indiana Jones 5 has Run Into Some Scheduling Issues

Believe it or not, a fifth Indiana Jones movie is in the works, and Harrison Ford is once again going to reprise the role of everyone's favorite archeologist. Just in, Ford reveals that the movie has actually caught a bit of a snag.

Talking to Hey U Guys (via The Playlist), Ford explains, "We want [Indiana Jones 5] to be the best. We've got some scheduling issues and a few script things still to do, but we are determined to get it right before we get it made."

Originally set to come out in 2019, Indy 5 had been delayed to come out in 2020, and now 2021. Seeing want to get it right this time around. After all, this will probably be the last time we get to see Harrison Ford in the role. If anything, it's kind of unexpected that he would be on board for this one again.

We don't know what to expect from the movie, but with reboot/sequels, I have a feeling that it's going to focus on a younger cast with Indy acting is a mentor who will "pass the torch." How funny would it be if the new lead would be nameless and will just assume the "Indiana Jones" identity like Rey did in Star Wars:The Rise of Skywalker?

For now, Indiana Jones 5 is slated for a release on July 9, 2021.
