Henry Cavill to Play Sherlock Holmes Opposite Millie Bobby Brown in 'Enola Holmes'

Everyone is wondering when Henry Cavill is going to play Superman again, but it looks like his schedule is wide open because he's just signed on to play Sherlock Holmes in an upcoming movie.

According to Variety, Cavill is going to be playing the role of the world's greatest detective (who isn't Batman) in a film called Enola Holmes, which follows the adventures of Sherlock's much younger sister. The film is actually based on a book series by Nancy Springer called The Enola Holmes Mysteries and it will have Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown playing the titular Enola.

Besides Cavill, the movie also has Helena Bonham Carter attached to play Enola's mother. The film will also have Harry Bradbeer (Killing Eve) attached as the director with Jack Thorne (His Dark Materials) providing the script.

We don't know what to expect from this movie for now, but I do have to say, it brings together two actors who are the best of Netflix. Brown is undoubtedly the breakout star of Stranger Things, and Cavill is set to debut his Geralt of Rivia in Netflix's upcoming adaptation of The Witcher.

We don't have a release date for Enola Holmes yet, but we do know that The Witcher is set to hit Netflix this fall. Stranger Things Season 3 is set to come out next week on July 4.
