Guns Akimbo Trailer has Daniel Radcliffe with Guns Stuck to His Hands

After the Harry Potter movie franchise ended, Daniel Radcliffe has sort of been trying his hand at several other more artsy projects (e.g., Swiss Army Man). Now he looks to be playing a role in another kooky film called Guns Akimbo.

This is the official description of the film:

Nerdy video game developer (Daniel Radcliffe) is a little too fond of stirring things up on the internet with his caustic, prodding, and antagonizing comments. One night, he makes the mistake of drunkenly dropping an inflammatory barb on a broadcast of Skizm, an illegal death-match fight club streamed live to the public. In response, Riktor (Ned Dennehy), the maniacal mastermind behind the channel, decides to force Miles' hand (or hands, as it were) and have him join the "fun." Miles wakes to find heavy pistols bolted into his bones, and learns Nix (Samara Weaving), the trigger-happy star of Skizm, is his first opponent.

If anything, the trailer feels kind of similar to Ryan Reynolds' Free Guy film, but Guns Akimbo definitely looks less kid-friendly. Either way, it looks to be another commentary on video games and our desire to have violence for entertainment.

I have to hand it to Radcliffe though, he hasn't been starring in any big blockbuster films as of late, but he seems to be taking on projects that are more on the weird and artsy side. It's kind of what Robert Pattinson had been doing. After Twilight, Pattinson did some more obscure projects like The Lighthouse and The King.

Catch Guns Akimbo when it hits theaters March 5.
