Giant-Man Returns In SDCC Poster For Ant-Man And The Wasp; Cast And Characters Confirmed

Ant-Man and the Wasp will be the first standalone MCU movie after Avengers: Infinity War, and a lot of people are curious as to where the story will go this time around. Marvel has released some official concept art for the movie, and it has Giant-Man and Wasp going all out in a battlefield.

The panel at SDCC also confirmed (via ScreenRant) that Janet Van Dyne a.k.a. the original Wasp, will be played by Michelle Pfeiffer. No details have been revealed on the extent of her role, but we can guess that Pfeiffer will be de-aged for a flashback scene with Michael Douglas.

Other cast members include Laurence Fishburne as Bill Foster a.k.a. Goliath, Hannah John-Kamen as the villain Ghost, and Walton Goggins as corporate loafer Sonny Burch. Randall Park (The Interview) has also been cast in the movie, and I'm guessing he'll be part of Scott Lang's small group of expert thieves.

Seeing that the movie comes after Infinity War, I'm curious as to what that means for Scott Lang's role in the next Avengers movie. Does that mean he doesn't tag along in space with Tony Stark? Will he be Earth-bound in the movie?

Either way, fans are pretty confident that Marvel Studios knows what it's doing with their characters. Hopefully we don't just get a rehash of the first Ant-Man movie.

Ant-Man and the Wasp comes out July 6, 2018.
