Game of Thrones 8: Sophie Turner Had to Wear a Wig After Her Hair Got Severely Damaged

If there's one thing that trademark of Sansa Stark, it's her flaming red hair. Being a natural blonde, Sophie Turner shares that she had to start wearing a wig in Game of Thrones after a bad dye job had damaged her hair.

Talking to Glamour, Turner explained:

"A few years ago I was trying to go back from red to blonde, and it destroyed my hair to the point that I had to use a wig for Game of Thrones. They wouldn't let me dye it back red or my hair would've fallen out."

Turner has also gone to clarify that it wasn't her dye from Game of Thrones that damaged her hair, but from another job; some guess that it was for the movie Josie.

For now, Turner has already wrapped her work on Game of Thrones 8, and everyone is waiting to see how the Starks will fare after they have finally retaken Winterfell. After an entire series of Sansa just being pushed around by everyone, it looks like she's finally taken her seat of power as the Lady of the North.

With the last season showing us the destruction of the Wall by the White Walkers, everyone is on the edge of their seats to see what happens to the first people who encounter them. It's worth noting that Winterfell might be the first kingdom to get attacked, so hopefully Jon and Daenerys have something to do about it.

Catch Game of Thrones 8 when it airs sometime next year.
