Game Of Thrones 8: Incestuous Romance Between Jon And Dany Will Be Addressed

Well, it happened. After seven episodes of will-they-won't-they tension, Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen finally hook up. Of course, everyone knows that the two are actually aunt and nephew, and the showrunners are also well aware that this relationship is anything but normal.

During HBO's post-Game of Thrones inside look (via ScreenRant), showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss explain that the relationship with Jon and Dany will not ignore the fact that they are related, and it will be a source of conflict for the characters. They explain:

"It complicates everything on a political level, on a personal level, and it just makes everything that could've been so neat and kind of perfect for Jon and Dany and it really muddies the waters."

With incest already being introduced in the series via the Lannisters, this will be the first time that audiences will actually see their very own heroes doing the deed themselves. Though the relationship does look complicated, however, it looks like Jon and Dany will try their best to see this through. After all, there has also been foreshadowing on Dany getting pregnant throughout the season.

It will be a while before we get to see Game of Thrones again, and if rumors are to be trusted, it's possible that season 8 could be coming in 2019.

Let's hope it doesn't come to that.
