Frank Castle is Out for Blood in Poster for The Punisher 2

Netflix may be canceling Marvel shows left and right, but we're still getting the second season of The Punisher this year. A new trailer is expected to drop tomorrow, and Netflix has given us a new look at Jon Bernthal's Frank Castle with this new poster.

So far we have no idea what the second season is going to be about, but it's likely to see the return of Jigsaw a.k.a. Billy Russo as the main antagonist to Frank Castle. He looked to have been horribly disfigured in the Season One finale, but set photos feature Russo with his face intact save for a couple of scars.

Unlike the other Marvel Netflix shows, Punisher seems to be aiming to exist in its own universe, and some have been calling it an accurate representation of PTSD and the troubles of coming back home after war. Granted all those other shows were cancelled (save for Jessica Jones), a lot of people are expecting the same with Punisher, but I guess Netflix just wants to promote the series before ultimately cutting it off.

Then again, what if they decide to keep this one? It all really depends on what the audience thinks. That and whatever Marvel and Disney want to do with their other IP.

We'll just have to wait and see.

The Punisher 2 comes to Netflix Jan. 18.
