Eternals Star Kit Harington’s Black Knight Will Have Comic-Accurate Costume

After Game of Thrones, Kit Harington had jumped over to another huge franchise with Marvel's Eternals. Harington's character Dane Whitman is actually a hero in the comics called Black Knight, and we have some new info on his costume in the film.

According to The Direct, Harington's outfit in the film will actually be completed with CGI. As it turns out, Eternals had to start shooting before pre-production could be finished, so the movie is going to be pulling another Iron Man and have Harington's costume added into the film during post.

Though that may sound like a bummer to some fans, Marvel has managed to pull it off in past movies. If you look at the Quantum suits in Avengers: Endgame, none of the suits were practical at all. They just decided on a final design after they shot the sequence and added them later with CG.

Of course, I would have still loved a practical take on the costume. Then again, I'm sure some cosplayers will be able to bring the outfit to life once they get a look at it. I mean, if people can make practical Iron Man suits, they can do the same with some comic armor.

Speaking of comics, it's also said that Black Knight will have a comic-accurate look in the movie. He's actually had several incarnations in the past, so it would be interesting to see which version Marvel will settle with. At some point, I also kind of realized we never saw Jon Snow in full armor in Game of Thrones, and that's something that Eternals can very well remedy.

For now, Eternals is set on a new release date on Feb. 12, 2021.
