Elizabeth Olsen Would 'Love' to Make a House of M Movie with Scarlet Witch

Though the MCU version of Scarlet Witch seems to be limited to being a diet version of Jean Grey, Magneto's daughter in the comics was able to bend reality in ridiculous levels. Elizabeth Olsen had said that she wasn't interested in doing a solo Scarlet Witch movie, but if it were to happen, she has an idea on what story she would like to draw from.

Talking to the Metro UK, Olsen said she would be interested in adapting House of M at some point. Olsen explains:

"I would love to [do a standalone], and I would love it to be House Of M, which is a comic book series of The Vision and Scarlet Witch having a make-believe family. Then they [Vision and her family] have to tell her that she was make-believing the entire time, and she has a very traumatic experience and screams, and kills all the mutants – but that's an X-Men story so we'd have to adjust the ending."

In Brian Michael Bendis' House of M, all of the Avengers wake up in this alternate reality where being a mutant was the status quo and humans were treated as the inferior species; what's more, Magneto is the established leader of this mutant paradise. Each member of the Avengers were also given their hearts' desires, what with Spider-Man having children with Gwen Stacy and Captain America being able to grow old with the times (just to name a few).

Seeing that the Disney/Fox merger is still in the works, I would be happy to see this Scarlet Witch story happen somewhere down the line—maybe in four or five years. I would like characters like the Spider-Man and X-Men to be established first, hence magnifying the effects of House of M by the time it eventually does happen.

We don't know if we're ever going to get a Scarlet Witch movie, but she'll be appearing in Avengers: Infinity War this coming April 27.
