Disney+ Series Ms. Marvel Production Pushed Forward by 5 Months

Last month it was said that Disney+'s Ms. Marvel would be shooting September of next year, but it looks like Marvel Studios wants to push forward as the production of the series has been moved up four months.

This comes from Charles Murphy:

With an early 2020 production, then it could be speculated that Kamala Khan will be introduced to the MCU sometime in 2021—making it part of Phase 4. We don't know if any other series will be pushed back to make room for Kamala, but it looks like Marvel is pretty confident with what they're working on right now.

For now, casting is currently ongoing for Ms. Marvel, and rumor has it that the show will be introducing us to a whole new Inhuman Royal Family. This seems to be a lot for the show, but seeing that Kamala is inhuman in the comics, it would make sense for Marvel to give us a "worthy" onscreen iteration of Black Bolt and his family. If anything, I'm hoping they only take up one episode of the show, seeing that this should be Kamala's series and not theirs. They should treat it like Thanos' cameo in Guardians of the Galaxy.

We don't have any official details for Ms. Marvel yet, but if all goes well, maybe we could see her land on Disney+ by late 2021. If you want to find out more about Kamala before that time, she's also going to be a playable character in Square Enix's Avengers game coming out May of next year.

Disney+ launches on Nov. 12.
