One of the things that made the first season of Daredevil so good was the villain Kingpin brought to life by Vincent D'Onofrio. Though he only made a small guest appearance in season two, he's coming back full force with Daredevil 3, and a new featurette has been released hyping up the return of Wilson Fisk.
Wilson Fisk is back and has his sights set on destroying Daredevil once and for all. Charlie Cox, Vincent D'Onofrio, and Erik Oleson (Marvel's Daredevil Season 3 Showrunner) give an inside look at this iconic villain's return.
With the third season being based on the Born Again comic, we should expect that the story will now involve Fisk trying to break down Matt Murdock's life piece by piece. It was already fascinating how we saw Fisk claw his way to the top of the prison food chain in just one episode last season; just imagine what he's capable of now that he's out in the open.
I'll be honest, though I thought Daredevil was pretty good, I didn't really like the fact that the Hand was a such an important element with the show. I know they're important in their own way, but the grit and reality of Daredevil were what made the show cool in the first place. Just add ninjas to that and I'm immediately pulled out of the world. Now I'm happy that this season will actually have DD go up against Fisk head-on, with no pesky resurrecting ninjas to get in the way.
