Daniel Radcliffe, Eddie Redmayne, and More Team-Up to Read Harry Potter for Kids

During this time of pandemic and lockdown, J.K. Rowling has launched Harry Potter at Home to get kids to enjoy activities and puzzles in Rowling's Wizarding World. What's great is, she's managed to gather an all-star cast including the likes of Daniel Radcliffe and Eddie Redmayne to do a reading of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.

Here's the official description:

We've got a treat for you… From today, amazing friends of the Wizarding World are going to take turns reading Harry Potter book one.

And to start us off with Chapter One: ‘The Boy Who Lived' we think you'll agree we have the perfect narrator…

That's not all! Over the coming weeks, we're going to be joined by other familiar faces reading all 17 chapters of Philosopher's/Sorcerer's Stone.

You can check out Radcliffe reading the first chapter here. There's also an audio only version on Spotify if you would prefer that one as well.

Besides Radcliffe and Redmayne, the reading will also include the likes of Stephen Fry, David Beckham, Claudia Kim, and Noma Dumezweni. Other faces are expected to join the reading as well, but have yet to be announced. If anything, they should really bring back Emma Watson and Rupert Grint. How about some love for Hagrid Robbie Coltrane?

We don't know how long this series will last, but I think it's realistic to think that it stops at Book 1. Hopefully be then the lockdowns have been lifted, and we start to get back to a ‘normal' world.
