Daisy Ridley Wishes Everyone a Happy Star Wars Day

Though there is undoubtedly a toxic side to the fandom, there's nothing but positivity coming out for Star Wars Day today. She may not have social media, but Daisy Ridley has decided to come out and send her greetings to fans on May the Fourth.

Check it out:

This is just my own silly gripe, but you'd think that Ridley would own a better lightsaber replica for the video. Then again, I can imagine she wouldn't want any prop that she had to be damaged so she just used a toy instead.

I'll admit, I wasn't a fan of how The Rise of Skywalker had treated Rey's character, but some more unreasonable members of the fandom have been very rude to Ridley outside of the films; no wonder she doesn't want to keep social media.

While the story of Rey may be done now, there are still a lot of fans who would love to see more of this era of characters. Who knows, maybe Lucasfilm will greenlight a story in a few years continuing the journey of Rey, Finn, and Poe Dameron; maybe they can even find a way to bring back Ben Solo (which I know a lot of Reylos want). Heck, I'd be down for a Disney+ special for the holidays. We know Jon Favreau wants to make one, so have at it Disney.

Celebrate the Skywalker Saga on Disney+ today with all nine movies available now.
