DC Considering a Harley Quinn Trilogy with Gotham City Sirens

Suicide Squad was not a good movie by any stretch, but it did give us a perfect Harley Quinn in the form of Margot Robbie. Robbie is set to return as Dr. Quinzel in next year's Birds of Prey, and as it turns out, Harley could be appearing in a whole trilogy of films.

According to The GWW, WB is possibly considering a trilogy of films starting with Birds of Prey, Gotham City Sirens, and then a Birds of Prey v Gotham City Sirens film—all starring Harley Quinn. We don't know yet how solid this plan is, but I'm guessing WB will wait and see how Birds of Prey does when it comes out.

At some point, it was said that Gotham City Sirens was in the works with Suicide Squad director David Ayer, and it was scrapped so WB could make Birds of Prey. The way it looks, Harley will be jumping from two groups, first the Birds, then the Sirens.

I don't really see what pitting the two groups together will do, but I'm up for more women from the comics coming onscreen. A lot of people though Catwoman and Poison Ivy would make it to the Birds film, it looks like they could be set aside to appear on GCS.

Whatever happened to that Harley Quinn v Joker film?

For now, Robbie is set to return as Harley in Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn). Catch the film in theaters Feb. 7, 2020.
