Clone Commandos are Officially Coming to Star Wars Battlefront II

It took a while (and a disastrous launch), but Star Wars Battlefront II is slowly becoming the game that Star Wars fans deserve out of EA. We've been getting a lot of live services as promised, and the long-awaited Clone Commandos are finally coming to the game.

This is the official description from the latest community transmission:

As one of the most elite forces within the Grand Army of the Republic, the Clone Commandos would come to be respected by allies and feared by enemies. With conflict raging across the galaxy, the Republic organized the Commandos into squads who quickly became a pivotal resource in the ongoing war effort against the Separatists.

Here's also a breakdown of their abilities:

Primary Weapon:DC-17m Repeating Blaster Rifle

Left Ability: Anti-Armor Attachment

Reconfigures the DC-17m into a grenade launcher that fires up to three small grenades, with high efficiency against vehicles and shields.

Right Ability:Repulsor Blast

Discharges a short-range shockwave that temporarily disorients enemies and knocks them back.

Middle Ability:Battle Focus

Activates a damage protection aura for the Commando and nearby allies. Additionally, any damage the Commando deals to enemies replenish his base health.

Besides the Clone Commando, the game is also promising to finally give us new skins for Battle droids. We're also expected to have the Commando land along with the new map of Felucia.

Though no specific release date has been announced for the drops, the transmission did say that the team was focused on a release on Sept. 25. We've had these expansions delayed before, but at least we have an idea of when we could expect the DLC.

Star Wars Battlefront II is now playable for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
