Check Out Aquaman International Character Posters

The DCEU may have taken a serious stumble with Justice League, but the franchise is aiming to make a comeback with this December's release of Aquaman. Marketing for the movie has been going steadily, and now we have some international posters of each of the main players of the film.

Though we already have a lot of images of Arthur Curry and Mera, I love the look of Patrick Wilson smiling maniacally as Orm. We don't have him in his full Ocean Master gear yet, but he looks to be wearing the same armor that he would be fighting Arthur within that undersea arena.

When we were initially introduced to Aquaman in the SDCC 2016 trailer for Justice League, he seemed a lot tenser and serious, but after the Whedon reshoots, it looks like they're repurposed Aquaman's character to be a more ‘surfer' type filled with jokes and one-liners.

Personally, I would have preferred the original vision, but maybe this version is one more people can get behind. Plus, I think the dark and brooding character trait is better reserved for Batman. I guess we'll just have to wait and see for the movie to come out whether Aquaman is going to be a new fan-favorite or not.

Arthur Curry learns that he is the heir to the underwater kingdom of Atlantis, and must step forward to lead his people and be a hero to the world.

Catch Aquaman in theaters Dec. 21.
