Check Out Amazing Covers for Upcoming Star Wars Comics

When it comes to Star Wars, the storytelling doesn't stop with just the movies. Each installment actually gets its own comic and novel—all for the chance to expand the story and make it a little more interesting. Lucasfilm has just announced a new slew of incoming comics, and we have a look at some of the covers via starwarsfreak1138.

Check them out:

The comics have actually been split into three eras, dubbed Age of Republic (Prequel Trilogy), Age of Rebellion (Original Trilogy), and Age of Resistance (Sequel Trilogy). Based on the images above, I'm guessing these are covers for Solo, Qui-Gon Jinn, and Darth Maul.

Other characters set to have their own series are the likes of Obi-Wan, Count Dooku, Padme, Tarkin, General Grievous, Tarkin, the Fetts (both Boba and Jango), Rose, and General Hux. Even Jabba the Hutt is getting his own story.

With Disney actively slowing things down for their Star Wars films, I think it would be logical that Lucasfilm would add a bit more focus to the rest of their media. Besides the comics, we're also getting a live-action series from Jon Favreau which is rumored to focus on the Mandalorians (a.k.a. the people who dress like Boba Fett). Not to mention there's also an upcoming video game from Respawn Entertainment called Star Wars: Fallen Order.

Though the Disney Star Wars era may still have its haters, a lot more people are just thankful to see that the universe is steadily expanding. I'm just crossing my fingers that Disney approves a sequel to Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Marvel Comics' big Star Wars event kicks off this December.
