Though they barely end well, there's no stopping Hollywood from trying to adapt anime into live-action. We're getting live-action takes on Cowboy Bebop and Once Punch Man, and the next property on the list is Naruto. Just in, we have the casting call for the film and it looks like they want the entire cast to be of Asian descent.
This is who the film is looking for according to Knight Edge Media:

The three leads are, of course, Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura. The two instructors are speculated to be Kakashi and Iruka, and the villain is suspected to be Orochimaru.
The film is actually going to be produced by Avi Arad who had worked on the Spider-Man films. On the helm will be The Greatest Showman director Michael Gracey, and he's working on a script from Jonathan Levine.
I don't really have a good handle on who should be cast in the film, but the theatrical adaptation of Naruto had some pretty spot-on casting. Admittedly the actors may be a bit too old to take on the roles now, but they definitely looked the part just based on the promotional images.
If you ask me, they should have just skipped the origin part of this film and just gave us an original story that takes place in the universe. I think Naruto gets really fun when we meet the other characters during the Chunin exams and personally I think the beginning arc with Iruka is kind of boring. But that's just my opinion.
No release date has been set for the live-action Naruto film.
