We're going to watch Brie Larson make her debut as Carol Danvers in Captain Marvel next year, but it looks like we're going to be seeing her for a while in the MCU. News has it that she actually signed a multi-picture deal that guarantees seven more appearances from her.

As per The Hollywood Reporter, Larson was able to nab a $5 million paycheck when she agreed to appear in Captain Marvel, but she also signed up for a 7-picture deal with the MCU. Granted solo franchises usually end with the third installment, I'm guessing the remaining four appearances will be in team-up movies—I'm thinking Avengers films with entirely new rosters. We should also take into account smaller appearances like brief cameos in other MCU films.

With Chris Evans set to end his Captain America run with Avengers 4, he would have appeared as the character for a total of 10 times—that's three Captain America films, four Avengers movies, and a cameo each in Thor: The Dark World, Ant-Man, and Spider-Man: Homecoming. With Captain A signing off, I imagine the MCU will need someone to fill in the boy/girl scout role—that could very well be Captain Marvel.

Carol Danvers becomes one of the universe's most powerful heroes when Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races.

Catch Brie Larson's Carol Danvers when Captain Marvel hits theaters March 8, 2019.
