Boy Lands in ER for Refusing to Fight Back Because It’s ‘Not the Jedi Way’; Receives Praise from Mark Hamill

Little Aiden Vasquez has gone viral today after news came out that he landed in the ER for refusing to fight off his bullies; citing that it was ‘not the Jedi way.' His little act of pacifism apparently got the attention of a Mark Hamill, who gave him a shoutout on Twitter:

Because of the incident, Vasquez had to get stitches above his eye. This was also not the first time he was bullied because according to ABC, Vasquez had to get stitches on his cheek last year after someone pushed him against the wall.

The school district was not allowed to comment on the incident because of confidentiality laws, but hopefully this is a wake-up call that will spur the school for more anti-bullying efforts.

If anything, Vasquez's little act is a show of just how influential something like Star Wars can be. After 40 years, George Lucas' box office franchise still manages to touch the hearts and minds of children (and adults) everywhere.

If only someone could do something about the toxic fans in the community.

Catch Hamill in Star Wars Episode IX set to come out Dec. 20, 2019.
