Bond 25 Production Delayed Again After Daniel Craig Gets Injured on Set

Bond 25 was originally set to come out this year, but after original director Danny Boyle left the project, the film had to be delayed. Production was actually ongoing for the film, but now it's been revealed that it had to halt due to star Daniel Craig suffering a serious injury.

According to The Sun (via Variety), Craig had somehow injured his ankle as he was sprinting on set in Jamaica for one of his final scenes. A source said, "He was sprinting during filming when he slipped and fell quite awkwardly… He was in quite a lot of pain and was complaining about his ankle."

We don't know how long the delay for production will be, but hopefully, this wouldn't affect the release date. The production for Mission Impossible: Fallout had to be delayed for months after Tom Cruise go injured on set, but the movie was still able to make its release date.

As for injuries, this isn't the first time that Craig has been injured working on a Bond movie. He's already lost two teeth, tore a shoulder muscle, and injured his knee while shooting for the franchise; a hard price to pay for someone who does his own stunts.

We don't know much about this final outing of Craig as Bond, but we know that he's going to go up against an antagonist played by Rami Malek. Hopefully, they manage to send him off with a bang.

Bond 25 is set for a release on April 8, 2020.
