Billy Dee Williams Shares Photo of Him, Mark Hamill, and Harrison Ford in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge

The Disneyland extension Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is set to open by the end of May, and the park just had an opening ceremony with George Lucas, Disney CEO Bob Iger, and the remaining main cast of the original Star Wars trilogy. Just in, Billy Dee Williams (Lando) shares this photo of himself along with Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford standing by the Millennium Falcon.

Check them out:

While it seemed that Williams had already put the franchise behind him long ago, he was actually asked to come back for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. No doubt, the passing of Carrie Fisher necessitated the return of another legacy character. I imagine if Fisher was still alive, it would be her standing alongside Hamill and Ford, not Williams.

Then again, I'm interested to see what kind of involvement Lando will have in TROS. Some say that his role will be similar to that of Maz Kanata in The Force Awakens, but I think it will be a bit more relevant than that. I mean, what other reason could they have to get Lando back in the pilot seat of the Falcon?

Hopefully we get more Lando stories in the future. With the #MakeSolo2Happen movement last week, a lot of people are hoping we see the return of Donald Glover's Lando. Whether it be a Disney+ series or another anthology film, I am pumped to go back to the seedy underbelly of the galaxy again.

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge opens May 31. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hits theaters Dec. 20.
