Avengers Endgame Directors Producing a Docu-Series About Marvel and DC Rivalry

The Russo Brothers have earned a well-deserved break after Avengers: Endgame became the highest-grossing film of all time, but they've decided to keep working on personal, non-Marvel projects like the upcoming Cherry with Tom Holland. What's interesting is that the pair are also going to be making a documentary series based on one of the longest-running rivalries of all time.

As per Variety, the Russos are teaming up with Quibi to make a documentary series on the rivalry between Marvel and DC fans. The show called Slugfest and will be inspired by a book by Tucker Reed called Slugfest: Inside the Epic, 50-Year Battle Between Marvel and DC, which chronicles the growth of comic books and how two companies managed to become the powerhouses of Hollywood that they are today.

The show promises to bring together comic creators and storytellers to help chronicle the long rivalry, between the two companies, but they'll also cover the team-up issue that historically brought Spider-Man and Superman together back in the 70s.

For now, a lot of fans are actually apprehensive about the thought of a docu-series, saying we don't need more "fuel to the fire." If anything, the Russos will likely make sure that the series will cover both sides of the "war" and make sure there's no bias when it comes to telling the story. Hopefully, by the end, it will actually help appease the ongoing fight between Marvel and DC.

We don't have a release date yet, but Quibi is expecting to launch on April 6, 2020.
