Aquaman's Patrick Wilson Goes Full Freddie Mercury in Live Show

Aquaman and Bohemian Rhapsody were two of the most talked about movies of 2018, and no one was expecting any sort of crossover until Patrick Wilson (Orm from Aquaman) took to the stage and belted out Somebody to Love dressed as Freddie Mercury, complete with moustache!

Though Rami Malek was applauded for capturing the same energy that Mercury brought to the stage, you have to give Wilson props for being able to belt out those notes.

What's also fun is that Wilson's co-star Yahya Abdul-Mateen (Black Manta) has also seen the clip and now wants to have the Aquaman sequel be a musical. Here's his tweet:

While a musical may be far off for Aquaman 2, I think it's interesting to see what kind of range Wilson has as an actor. Before he was cast as Orm, he actually played a fantastic Nite Owl in Zack Snyder's Watchmen film. He also made a voice cameo as the US president in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

We don't know what the future holds for Orm in the Aquaman franchise, but the movie did leave him alive in the end. I would like to see him return in a sequel, but I would be totally fine if Black Manta took the stage for Aquaman2 leaving Orm to resurface as the villain for the third film—should there be one, that is.

Aquaman hits digital March 5 and Blu Ray on March 26.
